[Action] Being AU Mindy is suffering....

[Today, Mindy can be found quietly drawing with chalk on the street in front of her house. She started on the driveway but ran out of room. And far from her usual fare, these pictures are of what appear to various monsters and spectres. Some of which are exaggerated versions of ghosts, or creatures from fairy tales. Others might be familiar to the long time Mayfield resident. These are the half remembered horrors of her 'previous' stay in town and include Hazmats, the Milkman, and the 'monster' from the hospital.(Black Mage) She seems to be totally absorbed in what she's doing. Approach?]

[Action] Backdated to Mother's day....

A)945 Beulah Street

[Mindy got up early on Mother's day, and her not!family will find somewhat lumpy and slightly overdone pancakes on the table. And there is a handmade card sitting by Fate's plate. It heavily leans on glitter and the color pink to deliver Mindy's mother's day wishes. It's the thought that counts? She sure seems excited.]

Good Morning~! I made breakfast!

[action] Bodyswap~

[Mindy has dealt with a lot of things since she came to Mayfield two years ago. But this might be the strangest. She's always wanted to be a grown-up, but not like this.
She spends quite a while looking in the mirror, wearing different outfits she found in Belgium's closet. She figures that like all things in Mayfield, this is temporary. So she intends to enjoy it while it lasts. After she decides on a pretty dress, makes a valiant attempt at putting on makeup, and makes sure to tie a pretty ribbon in her hair, she heads out to experience adulthood.
She can be found in several places:]

[The stores downtown, perusing things she normally doesn't get to, like jewelry.]

Can I try this one on too?

[The library. Everyone says the books are different for different people. She wants to see that for herself. She currently perusing a romance novel.]

These books sure are dumb....

[The bar. She's a little nervous coming in here, but curiosity gets the better of her.]

Umm... hi. Can I order something?

[Action/Phone] Spring time~

[Mindy can be found in the garage today, fiddling with the tools and generally making a mess. She's trying to do something with a pink bicycle she regained a while ago. Eventually, she takes to the phones in frustration.]

Hi, this is Mindy. I need somebody to do me a favor.

Does anybody know how to take training wheels off a bicycle?

[Later, when someone finally helps her out, she can be seen pedaling around the park. She's a little wobbly, but doing fine.]

[Action] Daisy chain...

[Mindy has made a discovery at recess today. Towards the back of the playground there are hundreds of daisies in bloom. That's where she spends the better part of recess, and when she comes back in for classes, she has a daisy chain in her hair. And she spends the rest of the day doodling little pink hearts in her notebook and not remotely paying attention to the teacher. Recess thing is for Picky, but feel free to approach Mindy during or after school to ask her why all those hearts she's drawing have P+M in the middle.]

[Phone(after the event is over)] Now that everything is back to 'normal... '

[Mindy has seen enough of sadness and pain in this event. And her family was hit pretty hard. There's not much an eight year old can do about grown-up problems, but she can sure try. So she's gonna prepare them a little surprise. But she'll need some help. To the phones!
This call is filtered from her household. By which I mean she's taken the phone receiver into the closet. The cord is still visible, sticking out from under the door. And she's talking in a loud stage whisper.]

Ummm, hi... This is Mindy.

My family here is real nice, and I wanted to do something for them. But I need some help. I want to make them a real nice dinner, but I want it to be a surprise.

[Pause for her to peek out of the closet to make sure they aren't listening.]

So does anybody know some easy recipes? Or have any good ideas on how to get them all out of the house for a day?

Past injuries....

[Mindy has been feeling pretty bad all day. She keeps getting random pains in the places where she's had past injuries. Her walk home from school was slow and painful. And she's promised her ghostly friends that the second she gets home, she's going to get help from her housemates. But just as she starts heading up the driveway, she screams in pain and collapses to the ground. Housemates and anyone passing by will see a little girl lying on the ground in front of the house. And that just might be blood pooling underneath her....]

[Action] Sledding

[Mindy wants to have a little fun while there's still snow on the ground. So she's gotten herself all bundled up, gotten the sled out of the garage, and is dragging it up to the top of the only decent sledding hill in Mayfield. Makeout Point. When she reaches the top she holds the sled in front of her, gets a good running start, and then slides down the hill giggling the whole way.

And when she tumbles off at the bottom, she gets back up and starts climbing the hill again. Join her? ~~You know you waaaant to~~~]
